EVANS MEMORIAL BUILDING

BOARD OF SELECTMEN

April 8, 2008

The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen took place on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 at the Evans Memorial Building. Present were: Rick Young, Don Philbrick and Aaron Blake. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p. m.

Elizabeth Snow met with the Selectmen to discuss property issues, doing a subdivision and taking land out of current use. The Selectmen noted that there had to be a minimum of 10 acres, exclusive of the homesite, driveway, outbuildings etc in order to qualify for current use. The land use change tax for land taken out of current use is 10% of the market value as determined by the Town’s Assessor. The Selectmen noted a subdivision had to go before the Planning Board and recommended to Elizabeth Snow that she hire a surveyor familiar with the process and the Town regulations. Elizabeth Snow was provided with copies of the Zoning Ordinance and the Subdivision Regulations.

The minutes for the meeting of April 1st were accepted as distributed.

Rick Young said he had heard from Jason Lodge of Hoyle, Tanner and Associates who had met with representative from Verizon and PSNH on the Potter Rd to discuss realigning the utility wires to accommodate the reconstruction of the Potter Rd bridge. An archeological survey of the area has also to be carried out before construction can begin.

David Maudsley discussed applying for funds to the Henney Trust to develop a protocol for managing electronic records. The Selectmen were agreeable provided it did not cost the Town money.
