BOARD OF SELECTMEN

March 20, 2007

The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen took place on Tuesday, March 20^th, 2007, at the Evans Memorial Building. Present were: Don Philbrick, Rick Young and Lee Stack. The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m.

The Board of Selectmen reviewed bills and signed checks.

Lee Stack was welcomed as the new member of the Board.

The outgoing Tax Collector, Colleen McCormack-Lane, noted that the number of liens filed on property this year was the highest she had known (20).

Don Philbrick and Rick Young updated Lee Stack on the current issues facing the Board. They included a building permit issue down on Conway Lake and property abatement requests following the last revaluation.

The minutes for the Annual Meeting were distributed.

Carol Mayhofer signed checks.

Correspondence was received from Jim Cobbs concerning his tree farm.

Legislative Bulletin # 12 was distributed. It contained information on proposed bills before the Legislature on collective bargaining units and the interest to be charged on late tax payments.

Mark Griffin and Suzanne Raiche were in attendance.

Mark Griffin met with the Selectmen and discussed personnel issues.

The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
