BOARD OF SELECTMEN
November 6, 2007 The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen took place on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 at the Evans Memorial Building. Present were: Don Philbrick, Rick Young and Lee Stack. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes for the meeting of October 30th were approved as distributed. Don Philbrick said there had been an accident on Rte 153. It may have been in Freedom. Rick Young said he had spoken with Bob McDonald about putting in as many extra electrical outlets as possible in the basement. They will get to it before the Craft Fair in December. Bob McDonald will also fix the flag pole light and install an outside outlet. Rick Young said he had met with Elwyn Thurston and Tom Costello and they had agreed on what was to be done to prevent water run off to properties below. Larry Nash will be in to fix the cover for the handicapped access ramp. Paul Hennigan is arranging for the metal handrail for the ramp. Cost will be around $1,400. More information will be sought on the proposed transit plan for Carroll County. Signature items was a letter to the Lees requesting the precise location of the existing shed they wish to replace before a building permit can be issued. The Department of Environmental Services permit approval for Bush Rd has been received. Elwyn Thurston has been given the go ahead to install the new culverts. Copies of the three Municipal Law Lectures have been received from the Local Government Center. Mark Griffin and Suzanne Raiche were in attendance.
