TOWN WARRANT

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

THE POLLS WILL BE OPEN FROM 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

To the Inhabitants of the Town of Eaton in the County of Carroll in said State, qualified to vote in Town Affairs:

You are hereby notified to meet at the Evans Memorial Building (Town Hall) in the Town of Eaton, County of Carroll on Tuesday, the ninth day of March 2010 at eleven o'clock in the morning to act upon the following subjects hereinafter set forth. The polls shall open for balloting at 11:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as the Moderator calls the meeting to order and declares a quorum present. Voting on Article 1 (election of officers) and Article 2 shall be by official ballot. The remaining articles on the warrant shall be acted upon at eight o'clock in the evening.

ARTICLE #1.

To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.

ARTICLE #2

To see if the Town is in favor of adopting the Floodplain Management Ordinance and one amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $513,644 for general municipal operations:

ARTICLE #5

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000 for the following Expendable Trust Funds established under RSA 31:19A

ARTICLE #6

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000 towards the purchase of two properties on Foss Mt (R08-009-000 and R08-010-000) by the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust and to withdraw $50,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund for Land Acquisition and Development for this purpose. No money is to be raised by taxation.

ARTICLE #7

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $25,000 for culvert and gravel maintenance on Bean Rd, Hatch Hill Rd and Towle Hill Rd.

ARTICLE #8

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $6,000 for replenishing sand at the Town Beach and repairing the Beach parking lot.

ARTICLE #9

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $7,600 for high resolution aerial photography of the Town and to appropriate $7,600 from the General Fund Balance for this purpose.

ARTICLE #10

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,500 for development of an Emergency Management Operations Plan conditional upon reimbursement from the State.

ARTICLE #11

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $785.00 for the support of the White Mountain Community Health Center to help meet the healthcare needs of the uninsured and the underinsured residents of Eaton.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $759.00 to support Eaton home delivered meals (Meals on Wheels), congregate meals, transportation and program services provided by the Gibson Center for Senior Services, Inc.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1000.00 for the Early Supports & Services Program (birth to 3 years) of Children Unlimited, Inc.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $358.00 to assist The Mental Health Center.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $650.00 in support of Starting Point providing crisis services to the victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children.

ARTICLE #15

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500 for Tri-County Community Action for the purpose of continuing services of the fuel assistance program for the residents of Eaton.

ARTICLE #17

To act on any other business that may legally come before this meeting.
