TOWN OF EATON PLANNING BOARD August 14, 2007 The Planning Board held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 14th, 2007 at the Evans Memorial Building. Present were; Nancy Malvesta, Dick Shaw, Lee Stack and David Sorensen. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Malvesta at 7:04 p.m. MINUTES The minutes for the meeting of July 18th were accepted as distributed. SELECTMEN’S REPORT Lee Stack said that the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department had asked to use Town Hall for an informational meeting on their proposals for providing public access to Purity Lake. Since the issue had been controversial when first proposed in 1999, the Selectmen had responded that the evening meeting should be a public hearing to ensure everyone got the same story from the State and issues of concern were shared. A date of Thursday,August 31st had been proposed. Lee Stack said that one payment has been received from FEMA and work is still being done by the Highway Department on the washed out roads. Time Warner cable continues to be difficult. Lee Stack said he had reviewed the current licensing agreement with them. He noted it was a non exclusive contract. The hang up for expanding the service is the density of homes per mile required before the cost is justifiable. Costs of installing new cable lines are still being sought. There is private issue developing over access to a landlocked parcel via te Old Lary Rd. The Office of Energy and Planning’s Fall Planning and Zoning Conference is in Lincoln on October 13th. The meeting adjourned at 7;35 p.m. Respectfully submitted, David V. Maudsley |
