PLANNING BOARD

July 18, 2007

The Planning Board held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 at the Evans Memorial Building. Present were; Nancy Malvesta, Dick Shaw, Lee Stack and David Sorensen. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Malvesta at 7:05 p.m.

MINUTES

The minutes for the meeting of June 20th were accepted as distributed.

SELECTMEN’S REPORT

Lee Stack said a new flag pole was to be installed at Town Hall. Nancy Worcester is donating a new flag given to her when Jim Worcester passed away. Kenneth McKenzie has been invited to join the Conservation Commission since he has been a regular attendee at their meetings. The blueberry fields will not be organic this year since the fields were sprayed with Roundup in September 2004. The damage reports for the April rainstorm have been completed and submitted to FEMA.

OTHER BUSINESS

Broad band access was discussed. Lee Stack updated the Board on his efforts to get responses out of Time Warner and Verizon. Ways to expand and finance coverage throughout the Town were discussed. Lee Stack will draft a questionnaire to solicit input from residents on theses issues.

Large scale water withdrawals and whether Eaton should take steps to limit such withdrawals were discussed.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
