Burial plots available through the Town of Eaton are contained in the Snowville Cemetery, located on Brownfield Road. Contact the Board of Selectmen with inquiries. CEMETERY REGULATIONS When choosing a cemetery plot, go to the Town Selectmen's Office where plot plan and available sites can be reviewed. As of 2010 the four grave lot shall be sold for $600; two graves in one lot shall be $300; and one grave shall be $150. Upon purchase, the four corners of the plot shall be monumented by owner with 6x6 blocks of granite. Deeds for the plots shall be issued by the Board of Selectmen. A record of the location of each plot shall be kept in the Selectmen's Office. The head of each grave shall be at the west end of the Cemetery. Head stones, when used, shall be at the west end, with principal inscription on the east facing side. All stones shall be embedded in a concrete foundation. Excess additions to grave sites interfere with proper maintenance. Planted, live flowers are permitted. Non-biodegradable items will be removed. Plastic items will be removed. Lighting or fencing (even wood) will be removed. Planting of trees or shrubs is not permitted. Burials are permitted only between May 1st and November 1st except at the discretion of the Selectmen. Notify the Selectmen's Office in writing the timing of an upcoming internment.
