EATON SCHOOL BOARD
MAY 7, 2007
MINUTES
PRESENT: Jane Gray, Patricia Philbrick, Judith Goss, Marla Browning, Alenia Miles, and Dr. Carl J. Nelson.
1. Chair Gray called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes – Pat Philbrick made a motion to approve the minutes of April 2, 2007. The motion was seconded by Judie Goss and passed 3-0-0.
3. Business AffairsA. Signing of Manifest – The manifest was signed as presented.
4. Superintendent’s Report
A. The SAU Executive Board will meet on May 10th at 6:30 p.m. at SAU #9.
B. The SAU Board will meet on May 17th at 6:30 p.m. in Bartlett
C. The Joint Boards will meet on May 16th at 6:30 p.m. at Conway Elementary School.
D. Dr. Nelson distributed the School to Career Director's Report and the School to Career Newsletter.
5. Any Other Business
A. Set Date for Next Meeting – June 4, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
6. Board Member Issues - none
7. Nonpublic Session – Pat Philbrick moved to go into Nonpublic Session to discuss student matters in accordance with RSA 91-A:3 II. The motion was seconded by Judie Goss and passed 3-0-0 at 5:06 p.m.
Jane Gray asked questions about attendance of students. Alenia Miles answered questions on some student attendance issues. Pat Philbrick discussed concerns about discipline based on discipline reports.
Pat Philbrick moved to return to Public Session. The motion was seconded by Judie Goss and passed 3-0-0 at 5:35 p.m.
8. Judie Goss moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Pat Philbrick and passed 3-0-0 at 5:36 p.m.
