EATON SCHOOL BOARD
NOVEMBER 6, 2006
MINUTES
PRESENT: Jane Gray, Patricia Philbrick, Marla Browning, and Dr. Carl J. Nelson. The meeting was held at the Eaton Town Hall.
1. Jane Gray called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes – Pat Philbrick made a motion to approve the minutes of October 2, 2006. The motion was seconded by Jane Gray and passed 2-0-0.
3. Business Affairs
A. Signing of Manifest – The manifest was signed as presented.
4. Superintendent’s Report
A. The SAU Board will meet on November 15th at 6:00 p.m. in Eaton
B. The SAU office quotes are due on November 9th.
C. Dr. Nelson handed out the School-to-Career Director's report, the tuition bills, attendance reports, and the SAU #9 fall newsletter.
5. Any Other Business
A. Set Date for Next Meeting – December 4, 2006 at 5:30 p.m.
6. Board Member Issues
A. Jane asked a question about the October 3, 2006 security memo from Carl Nelson. Carl responded that it was an FYI to the Board.
B. Marla Browning asked about the high school late start. There was some discussion. The Eaton Board wants it to be clear that the late start for the high school Option I was high school drop off at 7:35 a.m., middle school drop off at 7:20 p.m., and elementary drop off at 9:00 a.m.
7. Nonpublic Session – None
8. Pat Philbrick moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Jane Gray and passed 2-0-0 at 6:10 p.m.
